Schmeichel
Peter Schmeichel is a giant of football, perhaps the greatest goalkeeper of all time. A man who won more Premier League titles than any player in his position and captained Manchester United in the incomparable, last-gasp Treble-clenching win over Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League Final.
Schmeichel is an incredible family story, exploring what it took to thrive in the winning environment fostered by Sir Alex Ferguson at United in the 1990’s, what it was like to play alongside Eric Cantona and the Class of ’92 and also takes in the remarkable journey Schmeichel was part of when Denmark, against all odds, won the Euros in 1992.
Hill
Hill is the story of a son’s lifelong search to understand his father set against the backdrop of the fastest sport on the planet. Damon Hill’s father was his hero. Graham Hill was a two-time world champion and racing icon, full of natural charisma, humour and vibrancy. He was a towering figure. For Damon, growing up at a time when F1 was immensely dangerous for the drivers, death was a constant threat. And when Graham was tragically killed in a plane crash when Damon was just 15, it left the family with nothing. It forced Damon down a path that lead him back into F1 and ultimately an attempt to emulate his father.
Lomu
There are very few sportsmen and women who transcend their chosen game. This is about a boy, rejected by his father, searching for the love he was denied as a child. The most feared and admired player of all time, rugby’s first global superstar, Jonah Lomu. The essence of this film is profoundly human. At its heart is something that touches everyone.
